The Department of Gerontology, housed in the UALR School of Social Work, equips students with the knowledge and skills to work with the burgeoning population of older adults in the 21st century. This interdisciplinary program will provide students with knowledge of the biological, sociological, and psychological aspects of the aging process, as well as the knowledge of the policy response and services needed to respond to the growing demand for professionals in this field.
