April Lunch and Learn

UALR’s Diversity Council will host our “Brown Bag Lunch and Learn” series event for the month of April on next Thursday, April 4th from noon – 1:00 in room G of the Donaghey Student Center.  Our featured speaker for the month will be Rabbi Eugene Levy; Retired Rabbi/Adjunct Professor in Religion. In addition to his many accomplishments, Rabbi Levy was a co-founder of the Arkansas Interfaith Alliance and has been a stalwart on social justice since his arrival to Little Rock in 1987.  The title of Rabbi Levy’s presentation is “The Many Flavors of Judaism.” He will discuss differences and similarity among Jewish populations and the relation of the Jewish community to the society at large.

Please come out to participate in the discussion and meet the members of the council.  Our Brown Bag Lunch and Learn events will take place the first Thursday of each month and will feature presentations from faculty, staff, and students from across campus. Please encourage your students to also attend. Also, please be aware that you can submit a proposal for a future Brown Bag Lunch and Learn, or ask us a question any time.

Hope to see you then,

John W. Miller Jr.
Co-chair, UALR Diversity Council
