Administrative Restructuring Underway

A process to revise the university’s administrative structure is underway, according to Chancellor Joel E. Anderson. On Friday, August 23, Dr. Anderson distributed a memo to employees informing them of the process and how it would proceed.

There are three proposed models for consideration that were created as result of conversations within various leadership groups at the university. The Chancellor stressed the fact that everyone who would like to could provide feedback on the three proposed models via the Office of the Chancellor Blackboard Community or directly to him via email.

In addition to the online comment space, there will be two open forums for discussion led by the Administrative Restructuring Hearing Committee: Tuesday, September 3 8:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m. in Donaghey Student Center, Ledbetter Hall A and Wednesday, Sept. 11 3 p.m.-4 p.m. in the Student Services Center Auditorium.

The comment period is open through September 20. The Chancellor will likely announce decisions about both the academic and administrative structures on October 15. The goal is to have most changes in place by July 1, 2014.
