Greetings:

Chancellor Joel Anderson The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is a public university in every sense of the word. We exist to serve the people of Arkansas, our country, and the world.
As we move forward into the 21st century, the importance of UALR to the future of the state and our more global community is becoming more self evident. As the major university in the center of the state’s political, economic and geographic center, UALR is proving to be an important, enduring, elevating and collaborative institution.
Not only does UALR provide a high-quality education to a diverse group of students (63 percent of our students are women, 29 percent are African-American – the largest number attending college in the state – and we also have a substantial number of Native American and international students), we also offer a diverse range of programs. We have a full range of undergraduate majors, 38 master’s degrees, a law degree and six doctorates.

Of particular note were the university’s Donaghey College of Information Science and Systems Engineering (CyberCollege) and the contribution of the university to the area’s Creative Class.
I invite you to take a look at the UALR Fast Forward page. It contains three documents regarding the future of this institution. I think you will enjoy seeing what the campus of today aspires to look like in ten years. Many of the steps to get to UALR 2015 are already underway, and many more are just around the corner.
