Title IX

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (“Title IX”), 20 U.S.C. §1681 et seq. states:

No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.

On Sept. 19, President Obama launched his It’s On Us Sexual Assault Prevention Campaign urging all of us to pledge that we will help prevent sexual assault on college campuses.

Sexual assault is everyone’s problem. All of us must work to build a culture of respect and shared responsibility.

Three steps to take:

  1. Step up and say something
  2. Do not look the other way
  3. Take the Pledge to help stop sexual assault

Join us and take the Pledge at It’s On Us website.
