UALR Research Highlighted in Science News
The September 8th issue of Science News highlights work done at UALR researchers from Chemistry and GIT. Drs. Gaffney and Marley have been working on aerosol optical properties as well as determining their sources and removal rates using natural radionuclides. The article was written as a summary of some of the research on the Megacity Aerosol Experiment - Mexico City presented by UALR at the American Geophysical Union Joint Assembly meeting in May of 2006 in Acapulco, highlighting efforts supported by the Department of Energy’s Atmospheric Science Program. Dr. Gaffney is the Lead Scientist for the MAX-Mex study that was part of MILAGRO.
