Education doesn’t have a one-size-fits-all solution.
We are committed to helping kids complete secondary school using a wide range of tools! To make this happen, we provide healthy out of school time (OST) programming that involves after-school and summer programs, mentoring and tutoring, as well as providing scholarships to youth in our program.

In partnership with LRSD elementary schools, the program provides a high-quality afterschool program for sponsored youth in 1st-5th grade at Wakefield and Stephens elementary schools. The program includes age and developmentally appropriate academic and enrichment sessions offered 3-4 days a week after school, incorporating supplemental parental engagement activities and special programs on STEM and Art. We provide tutoring to children in need of extra help in our afterschool program and we have people in place to help!Certified teachers give kids a boost in literacy and math, while Enrichment “club” leaders, taught by community experts, give kids the chance to immerse themselves in a new talent such as Robotics, Stepping, Martial Arts, Choir, and Business. Our Students take field trips that open their minds, perform throughout the community and participate in activities where they can give back. Giving back is an important part of CI’s education programs. Students in after-school programs volunteer with local food banks, the Humane Society, and various nonprofit organizations.

(Mind Your Own Business Camp)
During the summer, our camp helps sponsored children (K – 4) maintain their reading and math skills so they are reading for the next school year. Implemented in two separate cycles (3 weeks each) in June and July, and loaded with lots of fun, our students create, market, and implement their own business. Their products are sold in the community to raise money for the charity of their choice.
