About CLC

The CLC Program has a rich tradition here at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. We give the scholars a family atmosphere, so they always feel at home. It is a great opportunity for guidance, success, campus involvement, and community involvement.

CLC is a comprehensive program designed to develop and enhance the skills necessary to prepare each participant for assuming leadership positions on campus and beyond. Scholars develop leadership skills by facilitating campus wide celebrations and participating in campus organizations.

The scholars can receive up to $8,000 per year in scholarship aid, which is renewable up to $32,000 based on performance results. Scholars are required to register for and complete Personal Awareness (PEAW) 1124 in the fall semester and Personal Awareness (PEAW) 2124 in the spring semester of freshman year and Personal Awareness (PEAW) 3124 in the fall semester of sophomore year.

CLC scholars also must complete 15 hours of service learning during fall and spring semesters.

Scholars are required to live on campus in West Hall. Visit the Office of Student Housing for more information.
