What is a Co-op?

A Co-op is a paid job, relevant to your major, that you get academic credit for.

Co-ops provide:

  1. Work experience related to your major field of study
  2. Academic course credit (up to 6 hours in some majors)
  3. A job with competitive pay and a flexible work schedule

During a Co-op:

In collaboration with your job you will complete 6 simple assignments:

  1. Learning Agreement
  2. Student Pre-Assessment
  3. Site Visit Evaluation
  4. Student Post-Assessment
  5. Learning Outcomes
  6. Exit Interview

Some Co-ops may have minor additional work if determined by your department’s co-op coordinator.
