Liberty National and UALR team up for the new Sold in 60 Seconds sales competition

Stopwatch graphicPresented by Liberty National and the UALR Sales Program, Sold in 60 Seconds is a new sales competition to be held at the College of Business on March 10th at 8am.  Sold in 60 Seconds will offer job, internship and networking opportunities with major corporate recruiters as well as cash prizes.

Liberty National (Little Rock) Agency Owner Jason Everett said of the new competition, “Liberty National is excited about sponsoring this event because we know that if we give back today, we will have a better tomorrow.”

Once registered for the competition, teams of 3 will be given fictional job descriptions to study and prepare for.  At the event, teams will then have 3 minutes (1 minute per person) to convince a corporate recruiter that they are the best person for the job.  The recruiter will rate their performance, offer feedback, and each team will have three opportunities to improve their score.  The top five teams will win $150 and move to the Final Round.  The Final Round winners will receive $600.  All participants will receive a Career Connections Badge.

Also being held during the Sold in 60 Seconds event is the Networking Lunch, where in addition to spending time with corporate recruiters, participants will have the chance to win a $1000 giveaway!
