Welcome! I am delighted to have the opportunity to tell you about our college. At UALR, excellence is a priority. We have many faces of excellence among our faculty, staff and students/candidates. Our research is focused not only on pure study but also on the issues and problems which must be addressed in our community, the state and the nation.
Faculty and student service are hallmarks of the College of Education and UALR. Whether studying national daycare problems, equity in educational opportunity for all students, changes in school law and finance, or early childhood education, we are dedicated to the highest quality educational opportunity for our students at the undergraduate, masters, educational specialist and doctoral levels.
It is our conviction that everyone who aspires to become a teacher, counselor, educational administrator, interpreter or rehabilitation specialist must be well-versed in theory and understand the exigencies of practice. Each must be able to conduct good action research within his or her chosen field.
