The technical focus this semester is on Windows file management, Microsoft® Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Access.
ITEC 3610
The focus of this class is on Windows file management, Microsoft® Excel and advanced PowerPoint, HTML and understanging . The business concepts include understanding stakeholders in companies and how to read a balance sheet.The soft skills focus is primarily on working effectively in teams.
ITEC 3650
Microsoft® Access and Project Management along with Adobe® Creative Suite 3 are the technical components of the semester. Soft skills focus on meeting management, team building and customer relations. Participants create a website and database for a virtual company of their choice. The second application of technology is designing a website and database for a nonprofit organization.
ITEC 4610
The capstone semester is designed to showcase the skills learned in the first two semesters. The team projects are with either corporate clients or non-profit organizations. Students complete the web based portfolio begun in the second semester as well as a hard copy preferred by some employers.
Cyber Teachers
This is a class presented in partnership with the Little Rock School District. It began in 2000 and has continued each summer. Each participant applies the technology to their teaching responsibilities.
