Alumnus Judy Williams got the chance to return to UALR as director of communications in January 2007. Since receiving a bachelorâs degree in journalism, she has enjoyed a variety of professional experiences in Central Arkansas. Her career has taken her from the nonprofit sector as community relations director at Arkansas Enterprises for the Blind and marketing director at the Aerospace Education Center to the private and public sector. She was public relations/marketing director at HCA Doctors Hospital, senior PR account executive at Stone Ward advertising agency, and media relations director at Hendrix College.
Williamsâ career began in the 1970s as a reporter and editor at newspapers in Oklahoma, Kansas, Illinois and Arkansas. For relaxation, she hunts for antiques, reads, and hangs out with family, friends, and her two cocker spaniels, Amos and Andy.
Since joining the Communications staff in 1985, Kim Ross Fox has worked in almost every aspect of communications from media relations to marketing and advertising. Her focus is marketing and advertising. She produces university video programs and the daily KUAR radio series A Difference of Degree that features the projects and accomplishments of UALR faculty, students, and staff. Before joining the UALR staff, she was a reporter and weekend producer for the Little Rock CBS affiliate KTHV. Fox attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock where she studied mass communication and marketing and advertising.
Web communications manager Jennifer Godwin came aboard the UALR Office of Communications in May 2012 after spending more than a decade at the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, where she served as the online news editor for six years. She is a summa cum laude graduate of Henderson State University, where she was editor of the university’s newspaper and a member of the Honors College.
She has designed magazines, written about everything from crime waves to rock bands, blogged, and learned to code. It is that emphasis on multimedia she finds so satisfying in the work she gets to do. UALR has plenty of stories to tell, and she is thrilled to get to share them with world. When she’s not working, Jennifer embraces all things Arkansas, from nature trails to good eats.
Administrative Specialist Cora-Fay Nykolaishen joined the UALR Office of Communications in February 2013. She graduated summa cum laude from Ouachita Baptist University with a bachelorâs degree in English and French. She previously worked as a secretary in legal, non-profit, and small business offices.
Cora-Fay has enjoyed living in several diverse cultures and traveling on vacations. She loves spending time with her husband and her church, being outdoors in nice weather, reading books, and watching movies.
Self-proclaimed social media enthusiast, Meaghan Milliorn began her life at UALR as an undergraduate in 2004. Four years later, she graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree in journalism and began working at KTHV as an associate producer. After serving as programming coordinator for another broadcasting company, Meaghan returned to her alma mater in 2009, working first as an assistant and then moving into the role of Web Communications Specialist.
Meaghan loves social media and interacting with students, alums, and the community through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and the Sights and Sounds blog. When she isn’t creating content for the web and working with departments on their social media strategy, she is busy finishing her master’s degree in Applied Communications. Her most important role, however, is being a wife and mom to her two young boys.

She is a second-generation UALR alum, following in her motherâs footsteps. Her father and aunt also attended UALR. After earning a bachelorâs degree in fine arts, she began her career at a local ad agency, and then went to work for the Arkansas Democratâs Promotions Department. While there she served as the Real Estate sections editor, and editor of Arkansas Woman.
