The Nonprofit Leadership Studies Program is a competency-based minor and national certificate program designed to prepare and certify students to work for nonprofit organizations upon completion of a bachelor’s degree.
To complete the minor and earn The Nonprofit Leadership Studies Program certificate, students must demonstrate that they have acquired The Nonprofit Leadership Studies Program competencies. The Nonprofit Leadership Studies Program Campus Director is responsible for certifying that a student has acquired the required competencies and will base the determination on a combination of grades, written work, field supervisor reports, and direct observation of student behavior.
Students should acquire these NPLS Competencies through:
- academic courses,
- 300 hours of internship, and
- diligent participation in the co-curricular activities of The Nonprofit Leadership Studies Program Student Association.
