Cutting-Edge Academics Meeting Community Needs
Welcome to the College of Professional Studies, the embodiment of UALR’s metropolitan university mission. Our programs impact the quality of life for a million and a half Arkansans each day. Our Institute of Government trains 1200 community and state leaders each year. Mid South Center for Education, Research and Training brings 1000 individuals to campus each year for continuing education in substance abuse training. They also train all social workers in the state providing child welfare services. Our NPR stations reach over 750,000 Arkansans. Audiology and Speech Pathology serves 2700 clients each year directly through their campus clinic and by the 30-40 interns they place in community clinics each year. We also place 300 interns, residents, and graduate students in applied learning settings in the central Arkansas area. We hope you’ll use this site to learn more about our academic programs, community outreach activities, and our excellent faculty, staff, and students.
The College of Professional Studies advances collaborative problem-solving, entrepreneurial public leadership and effective use of communication to develop dynamic, healthy and safe communities through theoretic and applied research and instruction.
