Richard Zraick Publishes Voice Therapy Textbook

The Voice and Voice Therapy, which Dr. Richard Zraick was invited to co-author in May 2007 has just been published (on schedule) by Pearson Education. This is the leading text in the field of voice disorders and currently commands 65% of the market. Dr. Zraick is an expert in voice disorders and neurologically-based communication disorders such as those caused by strokes. Dr. Zraick joined the Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology in 1997 and has a joint appointment between UALR and UAMS.

Mass Communication Student Receives PRSA Grant

The Arkansas chapter of the Public Relations Society of America has awarded a National Assembly grant to Kevin Crumpler, treasurer of the student chapter at UALR. The grant will allow Mr. Crumpler to atend teh PRSA’s national convention in New Orleans this spring.

Mass Communication Professor Publishes Book on Telecommunication in Ghana

Dr. Kwasi Boating, Assistant Professor in the School of Mass Communication has authored a book titled “Telecommunications Policies and the Internet in Ghana”. It identifies three models of Internet deployment in Ghana: private-corporate, social-development, and regional-system provider. Dr. Boating’s book, published by Verlag Dr. Muller, a German publishing company, is a political economic analysis of the policy and regulartory environment of Internet deployment in Ghana.
