Listserv information
LISTSERV is a system that allows creation, management, and control of large electronic mail lists for discussion of a specific topic. Electronic mailing lists make it possible for large groups of people to discuss a subject via e-mail. For example, an instructor can create a listserv list and have all of his students subscribe to the list. Then the instructor can send out e-mail messages containing class assignments and announcements to the list and all of the subscribed students will receive a copy of the message. The students can also discuss their assignments and other topics through the list.
