CSSC General Scholarships

Laverne Sheard-Britton Scholarship

The Laverne Sheard-Britton Scholarship is awarded to a full-time or part-time student in the College of Social Sciences and Communications. Preference will be given to freshman-level students who are from a single-parent home. Applicant must demonstrate academic accomplishment and financial need.

Rosa Pfeifer Isacson Endowed Scholarship

The Rosa Pfeifer Isacson Endowed Scholarship is awarded to a full-time or part-time undergraduate student with 60 or more credits with a major in the College of Social Sciences and Communications. Applicant must have financial need and must have demonstrated a commitment to their course of study.

September Fund Endowed Scholarship

The September Fund Endowed Scholarship is awarded to a first-year student who is the child of an Arkansas first responder, to include all law enforcement officers, fire fighters, and EMTS. Academic accomplishment and financial need will be strongly considered.

John E. Jacob Memorial Scholarship

The John E. Jacob Memorial Scholarship is awarded to CSSC undergraduate students (of at least sophomore standing) who seek to establish a career as communication professionals working to advance a social, economic, political or health-related cause and are committed to working for a cause-oriented nonprofit organization.
