If you would like to support the CSSC’s students and programs, you can contribute at this link.  Below are some of the ways your dollars benefit the educations and futures of students. Students may apply for the general CSSC scholarships here.

High Impact Fund

Contributors are giving through this fund to high impact, best practices that add value to a student’s educational experience and career development:

1. Study abroad travel support
2. Undergraduate and graduate student research grants
3. Professional conference participation travel support
This fund benefits all students in all major programs within the UALR College of Social Sciences and Communication.

The Link – Student Success Fund

Contributors are giving through this fund to best practices that retain students and support degree completion for students in financial risk of leaving college:

1. College ambassador program
2. Emergency retention and completion grants
3. The LINK service delivery (computer, printing services, major/career resources)
This fund benefits all students in all major programs within the UALR College of Social Sciences and Communication.

College to Career Fund

Contributors are giving through this fund to programs that expand career development opportunities and assist with undergraduate students’ transition from degree to meaningful employment:

1. Paid internships and service learning placements
2. Alumni mentorship program
3. Alumni in residence program
This fund benefits all students in all major programs within the UALR College of Social Sciences and Communication.

Isacson Fund Endowed Scholarship

Contributors are giving through this fund to support degree completion for students with demonstrated financial need within the College of Social Sciences and Communication.

September Fund Endowed Scholarship

Contributors are giving through this fund to assist in education-related expenses, including but not limited to tuition, books, fees and room and board for students in their first year at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock who have expressed interest in the College of Social Sciences and Communication and who are the children of first responders.

Laverne Sheard-Britton Scholarship

Contributors are giving through this fund to assist full-time or part-time students in the College of Social Sciences and Communications. Preference is given to freshman-level students who are from a single-parent home. Recipients must demonstrate academic accomplishment and financial need.

CSSC Dean’s Fund

Contributors are giving through this fund to support the strategic priorities and initiatives of the Dean, including the work and service of the CSSC Dean’s Community Advisory Council.

CSSC Founding Dean’s Community Engaged Research Scholarship

Contributors are giving through this fund to honor the CSSC Founding Dean, Dr. Lisa Bond-Maupin, and to support CSSC undergraduate students who have declared a major within the College and want to collaborate with a CSSC faculty member in community engaged research. This scholarship will provide assistance for any education-related expenses, including but not limited to tuition, research expenses, books, fees, room and board at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

John E. Jacob Memorial Scholarship

Contributors are giving to this fund to assist CSSC undergraduate students (of at least sophomore standing) who seek to establish a career as communication professionals working to advance a social, economic, political or health-related cause and are committed to working for a cause-oriented nonprofit organization. Students may apply for this scholarship online at ualr.edu/scholarships/cssc.
