Campus Safety Awareness Week 2014

Campus Safety Awareness Week is an event to promote safety information to the campus community. During the week, the Division of Student Affairs and Department of Public Safety will utilize the opportunity to remind the campus community about safety issues and ways community members can protect themselves. The cooperation, involvement, and personal support of faculty, staff, and students is crucial to the success of Campus Safety Awareness Week.

Tuesday, September 16 @ 2 p.m. in the Donaldson Student Services Center Auditorium
Chancellor’s Campus Safety Forum
The forum will provide all campus community members an opportunity to learn about the latest campus safety initiatives, as well as participate in Q&A with the Chancellor and other campus leaders.

Come watch the fun at the official kick off to Campus Safety Week 2014.

Active Shooter Presentation

This training program is designed to teach realistic strategies for dealing with an active shooter situation on campus.

Self Defense Demonstration/Presentation

Students will learn basic self-defense to help defend themselves against much larger and stronger attackers.

Consequences of Hazing

Students will be presented a historical account of hazing events, the devastating consequences of hazing, and be encouraged to adopt a zero tolerance approach regarding hazing.
