Bowen Alumni Scholarship Luncheon Raises $30k for Students

In 2012, the UALR William H. Bowen School of Law raised $30,000 through its annual Alumni Scholarship Luncheon. The funds will be used to endow scholarships for students who participate in trial advocacy competitions.

In the past four years, generous Bowen graduates have endowed four scholarships. This year’s endowment will allow students who participate in the trial advocacy program to travel to competitions and share the school’s values of professionalism, public service, and access to justice with a broader audience.

Alumni participation in the luncheon through ticket sales and sponsorships means that Bowen students can focus on their studies, learning the law and Bowen’s core values. By reducing students’ debt loads, these future attorneys also gain the flexibility to pursue a wider range of jobs, including government and public service.
