Eighth Annual Finale Honors Melissa and Martin Thoma

UALR will honor Melissa and Martin Thoma at the eighth annual Finale at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 27 in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall in the UALR Fine Arts Building.

Finale celebrates the arts in Central Arkansas and is the premier fundraising event for UALR’s arts programs. The gala features performances and artwork by students. This year’s performance will include dance selections from the award-winning musical, “Chicago.”

Sponsors of the 2013 event are Thoma Thoma, Sissy’s Log Cabin – official jeweler of the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences – Glazer’s Distributors of Arkansas, and Allegra Print and Imaging.

Guests will have the opportunity to bid on elegant dinners and getaways during a live auction, as well a piece of jewelry from Sissy’s.

Proceeds from the event benefit UALR art, music, and theatre arts and dance students and its programs.

Craig O’Neill of Today’s THV will serve as master of ceremonies. This is his sixth year to host the event.

Arts organizations from around the region lend their support to Finale each year. This year’s participating arts partners are Accademia dell’Arte, Arkansas Repertory Theatre, the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, Wildwood, and The Arkansas Arts Center.

The event is black-tie optional and will feature a feast of heavy hors d’oeuvres and a post-performance dessert bar.

Reservations to Finale are $160 each. To reserve tickets call Rivka Kuperman at (501) 683-4353.
