The University of Arkansas at Little Rock has demonstrated a longstanding commitment to providing a quality educational experience to a diverse student body. Among the identity groups that constitute UALR’s diverse student body is the population of students with disabilities. UALR’s dedication to providing an accessible and quality education to students with disabilities is perhaps best evidenced by the ADA Committee that the Chancellor has funded for many years. Funds from this committee are spent on creating and maintaining usable, equitable, inclusive and sustainable learning environments, by improving access to both the built environment and UALR’s programs and services (this might include accessible computer equipment, for example).
The committee is made up of faculty, staff, and students at UALR. If you are interested in serving on this committee contact the DRC Director at 501.569.3143 (v/tty).
Anyone with ideas about how the campus can be more accessible should contact DRC.
