Disability Resource Center

For Faculty and Staff

Disability is an aspect of diversity that is integral to our society and to the UALR campus community.

Creating and maintaining usable, equitable, inclusive and sustainable learning environments is a shared responsibility of the campus community. Designing learning environments with usability in mind benefits all students at UALR. The DRC collaborates with faculty to ensure instruction and course design do not result in barriers to students’ inclusion or accurate assessment of achievement.

The DRC also promotes and facilitates awareness and access through training, partnerships, innovative programs and accommodations.

The ADA Committee wants your input on how to make usable, equitable, inclusive and sustainable learning environments. Please contact us if you have suggestions or if you want to consider serving on the committee.

We hope you find this information helpful, and encourage you to call and ask questions at any time.
