Syllabus statement The Provost requires that this statement be included on all course syllabi. It informs students of UALR’s commitment to inclusive learning environments, of what to do if there are aspects of the instruction or design of a course that result in barriers to their inclusion or to accurate assessment of achievement, and how to contact DRC.

Web accessibility policy UALR’s dedication to providing an accessible and quality education to students with disabilities includes the design and use of our web pages. Training (including online) and technical assistance are available.

Interpreter Policy Handbook This publication provides policy and procedure for contract sign language or oral interpreters for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Transcriber Policy Handbook This publication provides policy and procedure for contract transcribers who provide real time speech-to-text service for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Grievance Procedures These are the steps to follow when students wish to contest a decision made by a faculty member or administrator. Exceptions include areas covered by another policy, such as grade appeals.

Accommodation responsibilities The Chancellor outlined who on campus is responsible for various types of accommodations. For example, it specifies when the cost of an interpreter is the responsibility of the department sponsoring an event and when it is a DRC responsibility.
