Welcome to The Department of Educational Leadership at UALR Educational leadership (EDLR) focuses on the process for development, implementation, and generation of outcomes in the organization and management of K-12, two-year college, university education, or other agencies providing instruction. Programs designed to provide educational leaders, policy makers, and researchers the skills needed to design and implement strategies that improve practice and outcomes in educational organizations may be found within our Department.

Graduates become leaders in student affairs, two-year college teaching and administration; consultants with institutions of higher learning and government agencies; researchers; and university presidents.

Are you considering a future in P-12 educational leadership?

Our graduates assume the leadership roles as principals and superintendents; curriculum specialists; consultants with school and government agencies; researchers in educational policy, assessment, teaching and learning, and gifted education.

Are you considering a future improving the educational opportunities for the gifted and talented?

Graduates find career opportunities as classroom teachers, gifted and talented facilitators, gifted program coordinators, or educational cooperative supervisors in gifted education.

Are you interested in a future in learning systems technology education?

Graduates in the field of instructional technology are qualified for careers in public schools, community colleges, higher education institutions, business, industry, and medical settings or facilities.
