Educational Leadership

The Doctoral program in the Department of Educational Leadership prepares candidates for careers directed toward the application and transmission of existing knowledge; research and scholarly inquiry; and teaching at the university level.

Graduates exhibit the ability to (a) convey deep scholarly knowledge of their field, (b) understand various methods of inquiry and demonstrate competency in several of those methods, and (c) impart broad knowledge of theory and practice. Those who aspire to leadership positions as P-12 or university administrators, policy analysts, or curriculum designers, for example, would appropriately seek the Doctor of Education degree.

There are currently two doctoral programs in the Department of Ed. Leadership:

Administration and Supervision (EDAS, Ed.D)

Higher Education (HIED, Ed.D)
