CLEAResult – Engineering Intern

CLEAResult, an Austin-based consulting firm with a local office in Little Rock that designs and implements energy efficiency programs nationwide, is looking for engineering students who can be immediately available for internships. Interns will assist the engineers by calculating energy savings based on lighting, HVAC and other system designs. Based on performance, interns will be considered for internships for Spring 2013 and full-time engineering positions if they are graduating soon. The Little Rock office currently employees three former UALR interns full-time.

Our engineering interns will work with our Energy Engineers and support their efforts. Our interns will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing plans/blue prints and counting energy efficiency measures
  • Updating databases and Excel spreadsheets
  • Preparing draft reports
  • Creating energy calculator tools using MS Excel
  • Other duties as assigned

These are immediate openings. DO NOT APPLY IF YOU CANNOT START RIGHT AWAY. The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Completed 2+ years of college pursuing a degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical or other engineering discipline).
  • Minimum 3.25 GPA
  • Able to work a minimum 16 hrs/week (minimum 4-hour shifts)
  • Good attention to detail
  • This position is a paid internship; however, due to the temporary status of this position, it is not eligible for benefits.
