Frank H. Thurmond attended UALR as a Donaghey Scholar and holds graduate degrees from Southern Methodist University and Oxford University. He has taught previously both at UALR and at Lyon College in Batesville. In addition to his academic interests, he is a musician, filmmaker, and author. Recent publications include a book-length memoir and a forthcoming book of short fiction.
