Description
The Bachelor of Science in Community Health Promotion prepares students to develop into successful professional educators, or specialized health, fitness, and wellness programmers in campus, corporate, industrial, commercial, community, and clinical agencies. Cognitive course work, teaching methods, educational foundations, skill acquisition and practical teaching experiences are just part of the educational process. These experiences, in concert with a basic liberal arts curriculum, afford students the opportunity to become a certified secondary health and physical educator.

Admission Requirements
- A minimum of 12 credit hours with a cumulative grade point average of 2.00 or greater.
- Completed HSCI 1370 Personal Health (or an equivalent course) with a grade of C or greater.
Decisions regarding course equivalence and situations in which students have tested out of courses or transferred credit from other programs will be made by the program coordinator.
Graduation Requirements
In addition to the core curriculum, students are required to complete 38 hours in Health Sciences Specialization Requirements, 15 – 16 hours in related area requirements for emphasis in Community Health Promotion, and 15 hours from a selected list of electives.
