How to Apply for Spring Aid

Complete the 2008-2009 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This application uses information from your 2007 federal tax return, and is available at Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Alternative Education Loans

Alternative loans are private sources of student financial assistance. Eligibility for the loan is based on the applicant’s credit rating. A co-signer may be required. Students may apply for an alternative loan if they

  1. do not qualify for federal finacial aid; or
  2. need additional financial aid resources to meet the cost of attendance.

Note: The total amount of aid received from all sources cannot exceed the student’s cost of attendance.

Graduate and Law School students should pursue a Federal GraduatePLUS loan instead of an alternative loan.
