Federal Pell Grants
This is the basic grant available to undergraduate students who have demonstrated an exceptional financial need on the FAFSA and have not earned a bachelor or professional degree. The award amount is pro-rated for students enrolled less than full-time. The award amounts for 2014-2015 range from $600 – $5,730, based on EFC.
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG)
SEOG grants are intended, as the name implies, to supplement other aid. These grants are federally funded with each school receiving a fixed amount each year. Funds are awarded to a limited number of undergraduate students with preference being given to Pell recipients demonstrating exceptional financial need.
Arkansas Higher Education Opportunities Grant (GO! Opportunities Grant)
This grant provides $1000 to full-time and $500 to part-time students based on financial need. Students must be an Arkansas resident for at least 12 months prior to applying for the grant. Students also must meet the financial need criteria established for the GO! Grant and attend an approved Arkansas institution.
Arkansas Workforce Improvement Grant
This state grant awards up to $2,000 annually to students at least 24 years old based on financial need. Students apply using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and awards are made by the institution the student attends. Students may be enrolled part-time.
