Per diem reimbursement rates revised

The annual update of the federal per diem rates by the General Services Administration (GSA) occurred on October 1, 2014. Maximum travel reimbursement for lodging and meals for official state business are the rates established by GSA for the travel destination. Please remember that the State of Arkansas reimburses actual expenditures up to the maximum allowed per the federal per diem rates.

The maximum standard rate for lodging remains at $83 per day for all locations within the state without specified rates. Rates for Little Rock (Pulaski County) and Hot Springs (Garland County) have increased to $89 and $100, respectively. The rate for meals and tips remains at $46 per day while traveling in state, except for Little Rock, which is $61 per day. Meal and tip reimbursement is allowed only in connection with overnight travel, whether in state or out of state.
