Minimum wage increase

On November 4, 2014, Arkansas voters approved an increase to the state’s minimum wage. The current minimum wage of $8.00 increases to $8.50 on January 1, 2017.

The university will be putting these new rates in place effective January 1. Human Resources and Payroll will make the necessary changes to all EPAFs that are currently in the queue. However, EPAFs submitted after January 1 will be returned to the originators for correction to the $8.50 rate. All departments should note the rate change for future budget planning purposes.
