Set Up Proxy

Setting Up a Web Time Entry Proxy

An approver for Web Time Entry must have a proxy designated at all times in order to ensure that the review and approval of web time entry documents is complete by the due date. A proxy will be a person who can approve time sheets or leave reports on your behalf when you are not able to do so.

All departmental timekeepers are required to have a proxy designated at all times in order to ensure that the appropriate time entry data is entered by the appropriate due date. A proxy will be a person who has sufficient knowledge of the web time entry processes in order to effectively and efficiently enter data when the main departmental timekeeper is unavailable.

Setting up a proxy is a two-step process:

  1. Complete the Set Up Time Entry Proxy Form. When you click “submit” it will transmit to Payroll for processing.
  2. Assign the proxy in BOSS on your leave approvals menu. You can refer to the Setting Up Proxies: BOSS Manual or the Setting Up Proxies: PHATIME Manual for instructions.

Removing a proxy is a two-step process:

  1. Complete the Remove Time Entry Proxy Form. When you click “submit” it will transmit to Payroll for processing.
  2. Remove the proxy in BOSS on your leave approvals menu. You can refer to the Setting Up Proxies: BOSS Manual or the Setting Up Proxies: PHATIME Manual for instructions.

Once the forms have been received by the Payroll Department, they will be processed within 24 hours and an email will be sent to the requesting party confirming the setup.
