The UALR Community Chorus will join with area choirs to present Mozart’s final work, Requiem, at Robinson Center Music Hall at 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 7.

The event will feature over 300 Arkansas musicians, including the Second Presbyterian Church choir, and members of several local high school choirs; Parkview High School, Bryant High School, Oak Grove High School, Hall High School, McClellan High School and J.A. Fair High School.

Directed by UALR music professor Bevan Keating, the show will also feature a professional orchestra with the singers. According to the UALR Web site, Keating said, “This will be the best work the UALR Community Chorus has ever done. We are excited to be partnering with so many excellent community singers from around central Arkansas. Our audience will feel as if they are truly a part of Mozart’s masterpiece; we are staging a musical experience, not just a concert.”

Tickets to the event are $10, and UALR students, faculty and staff can get one free ticket with a valid university I.D. Tickets must be reserved by calling 501-569-3294 or online at www.ualr.tix.com.
