Tennis serves up losing streak
The tennis team is limping home after a road trip that saw them drop three matches in a row. They lost 2-5 against Middle Tennessee, 1-6 at Stephen F. Austin and 0-5 against Houston.
Rebecca Van Den Houte and Veronique Luksich picked up the two points for the Trojans. Van Den Houte won her singles match 6-0, 6-1 and Luksich won 6-1, 6-1 against Middle Tennessee. Van Den Houte supplied the team’s lone point against Stephen F. Austin when she won her match 6-2, 7-6.
The team’s record currently stands at 10-9. UALR has a chance to finish the season strong, as five of its final six matches will be at home.
The team begins its home stand with a match against UAPB at 1 p.m., March 30, at the Rebsamen Tennis Center.
