Shane Edwards, a 2009 All-Sun Belt Conference selection, has signed a contract to play with Tezenis Verona of Italy Liga2.

Edwards led the Trojans to a pair of Sun Belt Conference West Division Championships and a combined record of 43-19 in his two seasons at UALR.   A native of Gilbert, Ariz., he averaged 11.8 points and 5.4 rebounds per game as a senior and lead the Trojans to a 23-8 overall record and a 15-3 mark in league play.

He’s spent the past two seasons playing in the NBA’s Developmental League.

Edwards played for the New Mexico Thunderbirds during the 2010-11 season, averaging 16.7 points and 6.8 rebounds in 45 games.
