Junior Veronique Luksich was the only Trojan to force a third set in the singles portion of the match.
The Trojans went winless in the doubles matches.
The Trojans (5-5) were in the midst of a five-match winning streak that saw them win against UCA 7-0 and 5-2 against University of Arkansas at Fort Smith on Tuesday, Jan. 31 at Burns Park.
The team went on the road and won three matches, including beating Alcorn State 5-2, William Carey 5-2 and Southern Mississippi 4-3.
Head coach Abby Wilson was proud of the team’s effort, playing three matches in two days.
“My team needed to be both mentally and physically tough,” she said.
The team will travel to Kansas State for a match against the Wildcats on Sunday, Feb. 18 before taking on Kansas on Monday, Feb. 19.
Their next home match is against ULM on March 10 at Rebsament Tennis Center.

Congrats to Yana on learning how to hover an inch above the court. That’s some David Blaine shit right there!
