UALR took game one of their doubleheader 10-3 over the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee on Saturday, March 10, at Gary Hogan Field.
The Trojans had their seven-game winning streak snapped with a 10-5 loss in 10 innings in game two but still managed a series win, outscoring the Panthers 27-18 over three games.

Junior Blake Huffman took the mound in game one and improved his record to 3-1 on the season with the win.

Huffman went seven innings, giving up just two runs on five hits and striking out seven. He has 27 strikeouts on the season against just five walks.

The Trojans got things started early in game one, plating four runs in the bottom of the first inning.

A single to right by sophomore Kaleb Jobe scored juniors Myles Parma and Tyler Cameron. Parma walked and a balk by the Panthers put both runners in scoring position.

Junior David Guarno hit a two-run shot to left field, scoring Jobe. It was Guarno’s first homerun of the season and brought his RBI total to 17 on the season.

UALR loaded the bases twice, once in the third inning and again in the fifth, but they were only able to plate one run.

Parma walked, Jobe hit a single to center and Guarno would work a walk to load the bases again in the sixth inning. A wild pitch scored Parma and a 2-run double by senior Greg Garcia brought in Jobe and Guarno.
