UALR absorbed a late 12-1 run by Tulsa and managed to hold on for a 72-65 win over the Golden Hurricane at the Jack Stephens Center on December 15, 2012.

Freshman guard John Gillon led all scorers with 17 points, including a perfect 3-for-3 from behind the arc.

The win helps the Trojans remain undefeated at home this season, with a perfect 7-0 record at the Jack Stephens Center.

UALR used pressure defense in the first half to limit the Golden Hurricane to just eight field goals and the Trojans led 39-28 at halftime.

UALR came out of the locker room in attack mode, expanding their lead to 16 points with just under nine minutes to play.

With just under six minutes left, the Golden Hurricane mounted a 12-1 run to make the score 64-60 with 2:45 left in the game.

Tulsa eventually ran out of time and were forced to foul UALR in order to stop the clock. UALR managed to make free-throws down the stretch to ice the victory.

Freshman forward James White finished the game with 12 points, five rebounds and two blocks.

The Trojans welcome Louisiana Tech to the Jack Stephens Center on Monday, December 17. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
