Admission Requirements
Along with the application, we need you to send us credentials that we’ll use to verify that you’re ready for the challenging UALR classes that are ahead of you. The documents you must submit include:
First-time Student: Have never attended any college and do not have any college credit for transfer.
- High school transcript - Don’t forget that an “official” transcript is required. (The key word here is “official,” which means that it’s sent straight from your high school or you bring it to UALR in a sealed envelope.)
- ACT or SAT scores - Have your ACT or SAT results sent to UALR or make sure your counselor includes the test scores on your official transcript. If you haven’t taken the ACT or SAT, our Testing Services can help you can learn more about the testing schedule and how to complete this requirement.
- Immunization record - We need a copy of your shot record showing when you received two MMR vaccines. This is a requirement in the state of Arkansas; Health Services can access this information for Arkansas, but not for other states. Health Services can also administer needed immunizations, and at least 30 days are required to complete the immunization series.
Freshman Transfer Student: Previously attended another institution and transferring 12 semester hours or less. Please review admissions standards. Required documentation includes:
- Final High School Transcript with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 (Undergraduate Freshmen Transfer only)
- ACT/SAT scores taken within the last five years with an ACT composite score of at least 21 or equivalent SAT score of 990
- Immunization records (2 rounds of Measles, Mumps and Rubella vaccination)
- Official transcripts from each institution attended
Transfer Student: Previously attended another institution and transferring more than 12 hours. Required documentation includes:
- Immunization records (two rounds of Measles, Mumps and Rubella vaccination)
- Official transcripts from each institution attended
- Contact each of the colleges you have attended and request all official college transcripts be sent to UALR Office of Admissions and Financial Aid, 2801 S. University Ave., Little Rock, AR 72204.
