Bowen School of Law

"I was surprised at the number of nontraditional students in my class. There’s a comfort factor there, and if you’re comfortable, you feel at home. Some schools don’t have a lot of nontraditional students, so you could feel anxious. If you feel out of place, your concentration level drops. At UALR, you see lots of nontraditional students in the classroom, so that means you see a lot of people like you. You’re already comfortable. It’s a matter of focusing and finishing what you came back to school to do. It makes me feel like UALR really is my university and not just where I go to school."

The father of one and one on the way, Otis Hogan traveled with his military career before earning a degree from the University of Hawaii. He works for the State of Arkansas and decided that another degree would benefit his career path.
