Will it Transfer?
“Will it transfer?” It’s one of the biggest questions you have, and we’d like to help you. Get started with our Transfer Credit Articulation Guide and/or the Transfer Degree Plans.
In Arkansas, it’s relatively simple to determine courses that will transfer from public colleges and universities in the state, and UALR accepts all associate degrees from accredited institutions.
Transfer Student Checklist
By following this checklist, your transition to UALR will be much easier:
- Set up a UALR campus tour with UALR’s Office of Recruitment.
- Apply for admission.
- If you are transferring less than 12 hours, apply as an Undergraduate Freshman Transfer.
- For questions about how associates degrees or core courses will transfer, please contact the Office of Transfer Student Support Services at transferoffice@ualr.edu.
- Submit the required documentation to Admissions:
- Final high school transcript and ACT scores (freshmen only)
- Transcripts from all postsecondary institutions you have attended
- Immunization records
- Meet with an academic advisor.
- Transfer federal financial aid. If you have been receiving federal aid (Pell grant and student loans), you may be eligible to receive similar aid at UALR. Be sure to transfer your FAFSA information to UALR.
- Apply for a transfer scholarship. The Shelby Breedlove Transfer Scholarship assists students who have completed 60 hours at an accredited Arkansas community college with at least a 3.25 GPA. Apply by February 1 for the fall semester.
