If you’re looking for a great education at an affordable price, UALR is a perfect place to look. And if you live in Arkansas, it’s even more affordable. By making the most of the financial assistance available – like scholarships, grants and loans – you should be able to get your college degree without having to go into major debt.

If you have been receiving federal aid (Pell grant and student loans), you may be eligible to receive similar aid at UALR. Be sure to transfer your FAFSA information to UALR.
How to transfer federal financial aid (FAFSA)
- Make sure you have filled out the FAFSA for the appropriate academic year.
- Add the UALR school code to your list of schools on your FAFSA: 001101-00. You may make changes to your FAFSA online by using your Federal Personal Identification Number (PIN) or you may call the Department of Education at 1-800-4-FED-AID.
- The UALR Office of Admissions and Financial Aid should receive your FAFSA information within three to four weeks and will mail you an award letter. You may check the status of your UALR financial aid awards online on BOSS.
- Contact any institution which may be processing your aid for this academic year, and inform them that you will no longer be receiving aid at that institution.
- If you are receiving student loans, contact your lender and request that all future disbursements of your current loans be cancelled.
