While the typical flu season runs from December to March, the Arkansas Department of Health is already receiving reports of cases of influenza in the state. Since the influenza vaccine typically takes about two weeks to start working, UA Little Rock held a mass vaccination clinic on October 4. Over 1000 vaccines were administered to students and employees.
Those unable to attend the campus-wide screening can drop by Health Services (DSC 102) between the hours of 3 – 5 p.m. (Monday – Friday) and take advantage of this important, no out-of-pocket expense vaccine.
Employees covered under UMR should bring their insurance card.
