Trojan Metric Trail

Learn about the Trojan Trailblazers contest and sign up Today!  Stop by the Campus Card Station, right outside the bookstore, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday through Friday to sign up for the contest and pick up your t-shirt and pedometer.

The Trojan Metric Trail is a fun and healthy way for UALR’s campus and University District communities to learn the metric system.

Trail Map The trail(s), which cover two and three kilometers respectively, each begin at the Donaghey Center, but walkers can access it at any point on the trail. The trail is marked off in meters and kilometers, as well as yards and miles, to help walkers learn metric conversions.

  • This innovative campus feature gives students, faculty, and staff members, as well as University District residents, the opportunity to begin a walking exercise program. For those already walking regularly, the marked trail offers a chance for walkers to record the distance they’re walking around the campus perimeter.

    I plan on signing up for the contest and walking my feet off. Great idea.

    I am looking forward to getting started. The portion of the trail along University Ave. is a particularly good workout due to the hilly terrain. Great job!
