Health Sciences

Graduate Program

There are three emphasis areas students may choose from when choosing a Masters of Science in Health Sciences degree:

  • Health Education
  • Exercise Science
  • Sports Management

A variety of job opportunities are available for the graduates of the Health Sciences Master’s program. These includes employment in areas such as health clinics, businesses, fitness and wellness programs, educational settings and sport/athletic facilities. Students will have the opportunity to improve their intellectual and professional skills through advanced classroom instruction, participation in behavioral research, and community service learning activities.

Admissions

A minimum of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited educational institution with an overall GPA of 3.0 is required for admissions into the graduate program. The following items are required for admission:

  • Undergraduate transcripts
  • Graduate Record Examination (GRE)
  • Reference Letters (3)
  • Letter of Intent

Curriculum

Master of Science in Health Sciences students must complete nine hours of core requirements as well as twenty-seven (27) hours in a chosen area of emphasis: Health Education, Exercise Science, or Sports Management.
