Next Steps for Housing

  • Continue to move paper process online to increase accessibility to students
  • Utilize online maintenance tracking software with immediate notification of status to the student
  • Fully launch housing database software upgrade, THD4
  • Move paper filing system to e-filing system, ImageNow
  • Develop more user-friendly tutorials on reapplication process
  • Explore and implement new wireless technology and/or policies to allow for online gaming, wireless devices, and smart TVs
  • Improve our online student conduct system, Conduct Coordinator
  • Upgrade University Village card access to Blackboard Transact to create a homogenous access system
  • Successfully integrate University Police substation in East Hall
  • Reconfigure University Village gate system to minimize downtime for maintenance and increase security
  • Increase faculty usage of Commons Classroom, including but not limited to increases general education courses taught in housing
  • Transition parking hang tags to University Police for consistency on campus
  • Demonstrate a measurable increase in student satisfaction in the following areas:
    • Timeliness of work order completion
    • Ease of reapplication process
    • Wireless connectivity
    • Interaction with faculty/staff outside the classroom
