Computer Lab
Campus housing includes one computer lab, East Hall on the 3rd floor, open to East Hall residents only. Hours will be posted on the door each semester.
The Housing Information Technology Systems Specialist is Jeff Newton. His office is located in the former Commons Computer Lab. He is available Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. He can assist any current resident with redirect issues, network access, or other concerns related to technology needs.

Redirect Procedures
UALR has a quarantine protocol in place that detects peer-to-peer (p2p) file transfers. If your computer, or a computer you have logged into with your NetID, engages in a peer-to-peer file transfer, your NetID will be quarantined. This is commonly referred to as being “in redirect”. If your NetID has been quarantined, you will automatically be redirected to the Computing Services Acceptable Computer Use Policy page and will be unable to access the internet. If you suspect that you are in redirect, please contact Jeff Newton for an appointment to remove your ID from quarantine.
